SEPTEMBER FEATURE:
Candelar’s Septendela features the image Marked by VCU alum, Aamina Palmer. As the multimedia artist behind AmiPalm Studio and the director of DCODE gallery, Aamina Palmer makes playful work that lives within the languages of art and design. Within her photo practice, she collects the art we pass by, playing an endless game of hidden pictures.
D-Code was founded in May 2019, on the premise of making a virtual and adaptive space to showcase the work of contemporary artists. D-Code's mission is to present exceptional new art. D-Code is committed to providing opportunities for artistic innovation for emerging and established artists and to expanding the understanding and appreciation of new art for the public. D-Code exhibits a broad range of contemporary art in a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, glass, ceramics and limited edition prints, with emphasis on emerging technology and new photographic applications.
Aamina Palmer received her BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Design & Technology from Parsons School of Design in New York.
