SUBMIT BY SATURDAY, JUNE 15TH
TCF Summer 2024 call
Deadline: June 15 (postmarked mail)
Fees: Free
Theme: Altered Memories
Altered Memories refer to memories that have been changed, distorted, or modified. While photographs are often perceived as objective records of reality, they also can shape and revise our understanding of the past. For this open call, I want to see how photographers have utilized this power to alter, manipulate, and reinterpret memories through their images.
Photographers can navigate representation, identity, and memory in their work, shaping narratives that resonate deeply with viewers. I’m interested in how photographers navigate these themes within their images.
- How do you utilize photography to reconstruct and reinterpret memories?
- In what ways do you challenge or perpetuate narratives through your images?
- How do you capture and convey the impact of memory and identity in your photographs?
